The team at LAMERKATZ has put together their own demo: LamerKatz Chronicles. This demo has to be the funniest demo that I've ever seen. It's not often that you watch a demo of people getting fragged left and right, and the people getting fragged are the demo makers. And it's set to some pretty cool tunes, done up like a couple of rock videos.
"It's kind of a take on deathmatching, and romance, from a poetry angle. Don't ask how those go together, just watch the film. It rocks!" Dr. Nemesis
ROKS started on March 26, 1998. We have had many wars, over 30 were played and we only lost 3. All of us have become the best of friends in the process. We have made many enemies in the Q2 world and made some valuable friends, and none of us regret doing so. So if any clan out there still has a problem with us, then please direct your browser to the NM website and click on challenge, we will be more then happy to kick your ass.
The community is still strong in Australia. There are still some great servers around the country, including our own (188.8.131.52:27951), that have regular groups of players who hang out and have a frag or two. Instagib seems to be the mod of the moment, a server side mod (no download needed, you just connect and play) with our own server, Alphalink (184.108.40.206:27911), Wireplay (220.127.116.11:27999) and EISA (18.104.22.168:27930) being the pick of the pack. GX is still going strong, something about the skill and discipline of the game keeps people keen, and Alphalink (22.214.171.124:27950) is without doubt the bees knees for game-play. Quake II LIVES!!
How delightful - more than 61 q2 custom maps suitable for osp tourney q2 servers. Contains all 1v1, ffa and tdm maps, with untested player load limits... but only a few Australian servers are running custom maps: m0nsty's OSP TDM, -+[D]-Compose+- -+DeaTH MaTcH+-, chops packs your arse like a suitcase, Oceanic Gamings' DeathMatch], TDM @ThePlanet.net.au, GameArena Q2 #4: Vanilla Team DM.
The CBD Lan Party in Cleveland rocked! We had a ton of fun, and are already scheduling the next one for this coming weekend. We had 12 CBDs there I believe, and we had a blast, playing games, abusing the T1, eating out, and going to strip clubs ;-) We also consumed a fair amount of what we will only call "substance" ;-) So here are a few pix, wish we would have taken more, but we were having so much fun we didn't think of it ;-) I just want to know why there are so many damn pix of 70th guess we wanted to make sure everyone knew how much of a m0m0 he is. ;-)
PCXL Magazine October 1998: PGL Tips from the Pros or How to Make a Load of Cash Playing Quake II When you’ve gone blurry-eyed from sitting in front of that monitor for eight straight hours, fingers unresponsive to anything but flying rockets and the sight of an enemy, you’ve got to question whether there’s a …
