"The site was founded 7th February 2005 to serve the players of Action Quake 2 — the greatest game of them all. Here we provide all kinds of material to help the players make their gaming experience even more enjoyable, you can see everything we offer at the moment in the left-side menu. Remember — there is always new stuff coming, so pay us a visit every now and then :-) In matter of fact, the project was started already in year 2003, but it drained out cause of lack of interest. If you remember 'Action Adrenaline', then you'll know what we're talking about. What-so-ever, now we're here to finish the job. And for all of you developers: Please share your work, because it keeps this scene fresh and more alive."
"Here you'll find a comprehensive guide on every type of trickjump available in Quake 2. Complete with instructive demos, it will provide an excellent starting point for players wishing to become experts at jumping."
"Last week's first challenge was a bit of a toughie, wasn't it? :). Rest assured, this week's is nice and easy.. well, not too easy to manage a 'perfect' demo, but certainly easy to submit an entry for. In as many ways as you can, without weapons, get to the block above the machinegun. Turning deathmatch mode on will make it easier for one of the jumps, btw, so don't forget that :). -Kaj s8n Haffenden"
Immortal Rulers of Quake [IROQ Clan] are not just an average Quake 2 clan. We are a group of close friends who have formed a very tight knit family, and Robin and I are very proud to say that we are part of such an excellent organization. IROQ originally began as a deathmatch only clan, but has since branched out into many other Quake 2 mods, including OSP Tourney Rail, Weapons Of Destruction, and recently into the Quake 3 world. The clan contains some very talented players, especially in the rail, WOD, and Quake 3 field, map and skin makers, as well as many members with a strong sense of computer knowledge.
"Welcome to Riding the Rocket. Riding the Rocket is a Quake II challenge website - each week an easy and a hard challenge is posted, and players submit demos of them attempting the challenge with (usually) the most stylish entrant winning. The challenges generally involve some sort of trickjump, being a simple rocketjump or doublejump to a more advance circlejump or bunnyhop. An ongoing bot challenge section also features, where the current high-scorer must be dethroned. Also, viewers can submit challenges any time and if they're suitable, will feature as a future weekly challenge."
