"Samurai Castles by g1zm0 was part of the original Q2CTF L-Fire Map Pak beta release, but was removed from the final release after g1zm0 decided it needed a lot more work before he would be satisfied with it as a map. It ended up taking another 8 months before making its final entrance in the Q2 world, just before Q3 appeared on shelves. Out of all the L-Fire maps, it is the only one that has been ported to Q3, and by the original author. It is also the #1 played custom CTF map, and has just been voted into OGL's map pak (only one of three to make the cut). You can download the final Q2 version and the Q3 verions at Team 3's website (and be sure to go vote for the Q3 incarnation over at Lvl)."
"Marts Dirty-Den is by no means the best deathmatch server out there… and certainly not the most powerful (connection wise) but I do my best and it's become very popular. :-) It is run purely from the interest of playing quake2... and having a laugh while I do. From a very early age, I was fascinated by radio (talking from your bedroom.. to someone on the other side of the world.) I never imagined I would be playing a game with them at the same time. ;-)"

"Made a new map, this time for Quake 2 deathmatch. I have mainly focused on the modification Action Quake 2, but now it's time for a first release for Quake 2 deathmatch. It probably plays best with a small player load, but will probably be a lot of fun with more players. Crowded, laughing, insane. You are in a castle high up above. It's a mix between fantasy and medieval. The map is small and generous with its items and weapons. Heavy weapons on lower level and you are forced to climb the net to reach the upper lever. It features new graphics, both env's and textures. The r_speeds values are kept pretty low, so no need to upgrade machine just for this little baby. Have fun! Post comments and feedback."
"The assumption of the UniCTF project is to combine the original CTF and TDM games, in short it is the same CTF enriched with new TDM maps rebuilt (double, mirror reflection of the original maps q2dmX, q2duel8, fury, q2rdm2 ptrip etc., maps are larger and more dynamic than most maps that were in ctf) and the new mod... TDM enriched with CTF support. A significant difference is also the lack of grapple."
