"Samurai Castles by g1zm0 was part of the original Q2CTF L-Fire Map Pak beta release, but was removed from the final release after g1zm0 decided it needed a lot more work before he would be satisfied with it as a map. It ended up taking another 8 months before making its final entrance in the Q2 world, just before Q3 appeared on shelves. Out of all the L-Fire maps, it is the only one that has been ported to Q3, and by the original author. It is also the #1 played custom CTF map, and has just been voted into OGL's map pak (only one of three to make the cut). You can download the final Q2 version and the Q3 verions at Team 3's website (and be sure to go vote for the Q3 incarnation over at Lvl)."
"Welcome to the Skin Gallery. You will find Quake 2 skins of various types — for grandmothers - comic heroes - private players skins - Polish Quake 2 clans, for example, Quassum, Shadow Warriors, STa, Dresiarza — and many more!"
"Don't play games with Bridget Fitzgerald. By day, Fitzgerald, 20, a mild-mannered pixie-looking student in baggy overalls, suffers for upwards of 13 hours strapped to a viola as a freshman at the Big Apple's world-renowned Juilliard School of Music... Fitzgerald — known online as Tonka — whispers, almost inaudibly: 'Who can I kill today?' That's her only warning to the soon-to-be smoking carcasses dumb enough to cross her path on the Net in the game Quake."
"'Girls don't win... Girls have fashion shows.' But that all changed earlier this year, when a little-known gameplayer named Stevie 'Killcreek' Case challenged John Romero, one of the creators of Doom and Quake, to take on a woman at his own game."
"An increasingly larger proportion of women are getting onto the net and gaming. It has indeed been predicted, by a certain magazine which I have now forgotten the name of, that by 2002 there will be more women using the net than men and as a result more will be involved with online gaming... We will soon discover that females in game servers will become the norm..."
