Gibfest3 by Daniel Patrick
(in-game: Tiabin)
So you say you’ve never heard of Gibfest? Well, if you live anywhere near Memphis, TN you should have by now.
It is a new organized lanparty event put out by memphislan.com also known as L.A.G.G. I went to it around a month or two ago. People of all ages gatherered to network their computers together and play any games that people were interested in playing. The most commonly played games ranged from Quake3: Arena, Half-Life (including counterstrike), Unreal Tournament, Age of Empires 2, and even StarCraft. Considering it lasted from 4:00pm Saturday until 6:00am Sunday morning I was worn out mentally and physically after fourteen hours of gameplay.
Sixty-five people showed up, and there was plenty of competition to go around. Food was delivered by Cafe Apocalypse (www.cafeapocalypse.com). All that is required to attend is $20, If under 18 a consent form signed, and of course, a computer with all your games and networking card installed in advance. All-in-all I was very impressed and I will be sure not to miss Gibfest4. Gibfest 4 is planned for June 9-10th at the AgriCenter in Memphis, TN.

Until then keep gaming!
