On this page I have also made available for download a Q2 skinpack.
None of these skins are made by me. They are the skins I feel
were the cream of the crop of skins from the time when the best
skinners out there were producing for Quake 2.

Included in this pack are skins painted by:
PartyCrasher, Kenneth Scott, Rorshach, Dan Bikkle, The Chosen,
Cosmos, Avve, Strangefate, Gwot, Frankie, Jinx, Andrew Phillips
and Roger Bacon (666). Plus a few who I’m not sure did them.

All of these skins are small masterpieces in themselves when you
consider the restrictions of the “Quake 2” 256 color palette. They are
all at least here for posterity if not for use in the game. Ive have tried
to cobble together enough read-me files to allow credit where credit is due.

I encourage any young gamers with an interest in art to download
and study these skins. Most of these artists have gone on to careers
in the game industry so the skins are almost little pieces of history.
These skins belong on your server. They should be used, but
if you do use them, please do not modify them and then claim them
as your own unless you give proper credit where credit is due.

Also note: This skin pack is zipped up into artist categories. You cannot
just unzip them into your baseq2. Make a seperate folder and unzip the
pack into it. Drop the appropriate skins into the male & female folders.
