Intro

Paul Steed’s much anticipated plugin player, the Crackwhore has finally arrived. [ Well it was a while ago, but you’re still interested in it aren’t ya? ] I don’t remember the exact set of events, but the model was finished quite a while before the game was put out. Paul had released some screenshots and announced a contest with the model. The female who was willing to dress like her and have photos shot of her and sent in and then have Paul Judge them, they would be announced the Crackwhore look-a-like. Paul then attempted to modify the face of the skin to look like the winner with moderate results [above] Her name is Anna Niichel if you feel the need to email her click her pic for the email link. There’s bit more info on her in the text file included with the model too. Actually now that I think of it, I’m surprised we haven’t seen someone really try to make the skin look like the winner. The model was meant to be exactly what it looks like, a piece of testerone induced eye candy for the male dominated quake community..

Originality

Well, the method that Paul used to go about releasing the model was unique. The actual model? …hmmm maybe not…maybe so. Its supposed to be for fun, so let’s leave it at that.

The Model

Paul Steed has created a very curvy high quality model that would get 5 stars for comedy value :) Anyway, fun, I asked a friend for her feminine perspective, and here it is: “…she’s a wankers dream.. hopefully it will the perverts of the streets and online for some interactive entertainment”-T.K. Aside from my friend’s colorful views, Crackwhore has a couple of little niggles -her hands and fingers are very spikey through the low poly nature of them and her ass is so huge, I hope Paul Steed didn’t model Crackwhore on any woman in existence :)

The Animations

Hey she’s fun n’ bouncy. Steed seems to have had a lot of fun animating this whore, with the breasts jiggling round in each animation like a gelatin dessert. No complaint from the testosterone army. :) Looking with a critical eye beyond the the bouncy breasts, Paul has done good work, with the hip movement and hair done especially well. Unfortunately down to the quality of the skin the hip movement is virtually invisible in software mode. So you may ask, why not 5 stars? The stand animation ain’t forgivable, the only thing to surpass the Crackwhore’s heaving cleavage in size on this model is her huge ass. In a theme that continues throughout many of the animations the center of gravity is so far back she should be falling over.

The Skin

3 skins came with Crackwhore… 3 different hair colors nothing special, the skins aren’t awful, but they ain’t good either. While Paul does admit that the skins aren’t special the problems run deeper than flat colors dominating the skin. The mapping co-ordinates are so bad that new skins will be hard to create. The mapping basically limits your changes on the skin to the torso and face plus the wasted space is very high (38%!). It’s a shame really, maybe a new Crackwhore could be released on which custom skin artist’s won’t have to struggle with horrid warping errors on the legs and arms.

Sounds

Paul had a contest and picked and choose from the entries. Judging from the sounds you’ll be hearing, I think most came from porn sites and sound clips. Every movement is another chance for her to moan in ecstasy. The sound pack is exactly what I’d expect for this wench and the quality of the samples is pretty high [ although, I don’t want to think about that :) ] , 5 stars.
