"Hi, I'm CureMode from AOL and DWANGO. This is my new Site on New World Data's Icebox Online, which will hopefully free me from AOL's Evil Grip. Here on my Page you will find links to some of my favorite topics and sites. They include Bands, TV shows, Movies, and Quake info. Check out my new Quake section for info on the game and The Clan of The Caveman. I wish I could store all this stuff locally but my Server space is limited. Check out my Resume, I am a Multimedia Specialist and Consultant. If you know of any opportunities in the New York / Manhattan area please pass them along to me at..."
"Here you'll find a comprehensive guide on every type of trickjump available in Quake 2. Complete with instructive demos, it will provide an excellent starting point for players wishing to become experts at jumping."
"Last week's first challenge was a bit of a toughie, wasn't it? :). Rest assured, this week's is nice and easy.. well, not too easy to manage a 'perfect' demo, but certainly easy to submit an entry for. In as many ways as you can, without weapons, get to the block above the machinegun. Turning deathmatch mode on will make it easier for one of the jumps, btw, so don't forget that :). -Kaj s8n Haffenden"
"So you've played the maps of CHAOS often enough and want to start your own 'chaotic dreams'? Here you will find everything you need to start with your own CHAOS-DM map. If you really shouldn't find the thing you're looking for and need a new CHAOS texture, a new kind of background sound or even a new environment for your map then don't hesitate and ask SPA. He really likes to help you with creating the chaotic feeling you want to have in your map... and we always love map-makers who are a little bit innovative and try something new... and... who knows? Maybe your next map will even be in our next map-package! =)"
"So... how is ChaosDM really looking like? Still can't imagine how a broadsword can scare you in a game like Quake 2? Or how really bad a player can be with a full-sized Buzzsaw in his hands? Ok, check out this eyecandy!"
"The G3D Innovation Engine is a commercial-grade C++ 3D engine available as Open Source. G3D supports hardware accelerated real-time rendering, off-line rendering like ray tracing, and general purpose computation on GPUs. Its design emphasizes rapid prototyping and innovation, particularly of rendering and game algorithms. G3D provides a set of routines and structures so common that they are needed in almost every graphics program. It makes low-level libraries like OpenGL, network sockets, and audio channels easier to use without limiting functionality or performance. G3D is a carefully designed, feature-rich base on which to prototype your 3D application. The contributors span the graphics industry. The engine is primarily maintained by Morgan McGuire, Zander Majercik, and Josef Spjut at NVIDIA, Corey Taylor, and Michael Mara at Stanford University & Oculus Research. It includes contributions from professional game developers, CAD and DCC developers, students, industry researchers, and professors."
